THE GREATIST RECORDINGS OF ALL-TIME

9."LOOKING FOR THE MAGIC"-THE DWIGHT TWILLY BAND

IN 1975 THE TWILLY BAND HAD THIER FIRST RELEASE "I'M ON FIRE" CLIMB
TO THE UPPER REACHES OF THE POP SINGLES CHART.UNFORTUNATLY,
'SHELTER" LEON RUSSELS LABEL DIDN'T GET THE ALBUM{"SINCERELY" OUT UNTIL A YEAR LATER..BY THEN MOMENTUM HAD RECEDED TO PUT IT POLITLY AND
THE BRILLIANT DEBUT BY TWILLYS BAND WENT LARGLY UNNOTICED.
TWILLY QUICKLY BOUNCED BACK WITH A SECOND ALBUM "TWILLY DON'T
MIND"-AN ALBUM OF POP/ROCK BRILLIACE EQUAL BUT DIFERANT THAN THAT
OF "SINCERELY".
"LOOKING FOR THE MAGIC" IS THE KIND OF SONG EVERY ROCKER DREAMS
OF WRITING-TOM PETTY EVEN STEPPED IN TO PLAY GUITAR ON THE TRACK.
HE MUST HAVE SENSED IT'S TIMELESSNESS.TWILLY COMBINES THE SOUNDS
OF THE BEATLES AND THE BEACH BOYS/WITH SOME "ELVIS" THROWN IN
FOR GOOD MEASURE."LOOKING FOR THE MAGIC" IS THE MOST MAGICAL SONG
OF THE 1970'S.TWILLY FOUND THE MAGIC-NOW ALL YOU NEED TO DO IS FIND TWILLY.
