CHOPIN;STILL WINNING GRAMMYS AFTER ALL THESE YEARS!
I JUST RECEIVED THE SPRING ISSUE OF THE GRAMMY MAGAZINE SUBTITLED-
"49TH GRAMMY AWARDS CELEBRATION ISSUE".IT GIVES ALOT OF INSIGHT INTO THAT GRAMMY NIGHT,HOW IT ALL WENT DOWN AND WHO WON.SOME MIGHT SURPRISE YOU-FOR INSTANCE "MADONNA" WON BEST ELECTRONIC/DANCE ALBUM FOR "CONFESSIONS ON A DANCE FLOOR".THAT MAY NOT HAVE RECIEVED MUCH PRESS BUT IT'S A VERY IMPRESSIVE ACHIEVMENT FOR THE DANCE/DIVA WHO IS 25 YEARS OR SO INTO HER CAREER.
CHRISTINA AUGUILARA'S WIN FOR "AIN'T NO OTHER MAN" WAS WELL DESERVED AS IT WAS BY FAR ONE OF THE MOST EXCITING RECORDS OF THE YEAR WITH X-TINA
MAKING A EXTREMLY REFRESHING RETURN TO USING THE INCREDIBLE GIFT THAT THAT AMAZING VOICE OF HERS IS TO IT'S MAXIUM EFFECT.THE VIDEO THAT WAS
MADE FOR THE SONG WAS ALSO ONE OF THE BEST VIDEOS OF THE YEAR.
BOB DYLAN WON IN TWO PRETTY DIVERSE CATAGORYS IN KEEPING WITH
HIS VERY DIVERSE CAREER.BEST ROCK VOCAL FOR ""SOMEDAY BABY" AND
"BEST CONTEMPORARY FOLK-AMERICANA ALBUM FOR "MODERN TIMES".
FOR METAL FANS THERE WAS A BIG WIN FOR SLAYER FOR "EYES OF THE INSANE" AND "TOOL" WON A GRAMMY FOR BEST PACKAGING FOR "10,000 DAYS".
AND LAST BUT DEFINATLY NOT LEAST WAS A BIG WIN FOR THE IMMORTAL
"CHOPIN" FOR SOLO CLASSICAL PERFORMANCE BY THE PERFORMER MAURIZO
POLLINI-RECORDING CHOPINS FAMOUS "NOCTURNES".NOW THAT'S A RECORD I
REALLY WANT TO HEAR AS CHOPIN IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE CLASSICAL ARTISTS
AS I'M SURE MANY OTHER CHOPIN AFFECTIONADIOS WILL ALSO.

Yundi-Li does a superb interpretation of Chopin. You can find some great videos on YouTube. There are some cool ones of la belle Helene also.
