BOSTON SINGER MUCH BIGGER THAN KNOWN

THE PASSING OF BOSTON'S LEAD SINGER BRAD DELP HAS BROUGHT ON
QUITE A BIT OF PRESS BUT NONE OF IT HAS MENTIONED HIS MOST AMAZING
ACHIEVMENTS.FIRST AND FOREMOST IS THE FACT THAT BOSTON'S DEBUT
ALBUM IS THE BEST SELLING ALBUM OF ALL TIME OF AN AN AMERICAN HARD
ROCK BAND-OVER 17 MILLION IN THE U.S. ALONE,AND DELP SINGS EVERY
TRACK.BUT DELP'S LEGACY DOESN'T STOP THERE.IT WAS DELP'S VOICE ON
"MORE THAN A FEELING"; A SONG THAT PLAYED A PIVITOL ROLE IN LAUCHING
THE GRUNGE EXPLOSION-WHICH WAS THE MOST REVOLUTIONARY MOVE-
MENT IN POPULAR MUSIC SINCE THE BEATLES AND THE ONLY ONE TOO HAVE
AN EQUIVIANTLY GIGANTIC INPACT ON POP CULTURE.
NIRVANA'S SONG "SMELLS LIKE TEEN SPIRIT" HOOK LINE IS SO CLOSE TO
THAT OF BOSTONS "MORE THAN A FEELING" THAT WHEN COBAIN FIRST
BROUGHT THE SONG TO THE OTHER MEMBERS OF THE BAND THEY HATED
IT-PROBABLY BECAUSE IT REMINDED THEM OF THE ROCK ESTABLISHMENT
THEY WERE SUPPOSELY REBELING AGAINST.IN REACTION TO HIS BAND
MEMBERS VISERAL REJECTION OF KURT'S PURPOSEFUL ATTEMPT{AND
SUCCESS}AT WRITING "THE PERFECT POP SONG"-{KURT COBAIN-INTERVIEW}
HE MADE THE BAND PLAY THE SONG "100 TIMES" {COBAIN LAUGHS HYSTERICALLY AFTER SAYING THIS IN THE INTERVIEW} SO ALL OF THE MEMBERS
OF NIRVANA WERE MORE THAN AWARE OF "TEEN SPIRITS" HOOK BEING
SO SIMILIAR TO BOSTONS "FEELING" THAT IT WAS ALLMOST IMPOSSIBLE
TO TELL THEM APART.COBAIN WAS AWARE AND THOUGHT IT WAS
HILARIOUS-MOCKING THE ESTABLISMENT.THE OTHER BAND MEMBERS WERE AWARE BUT RELUCTANT TO BE A PART OF COBAINS BIG POKE AT THE ROCK
ESTABLISHMENT.COBAIN KNEW HE HAD WRITTEN THE PERFECT POP SONG.
HE JUST DIDN'T KNOW JUST HOW FAR IT WOULD TAKE HE AND HIS BAND
AND THE ASTONISHINGLY HUGE IMPACT IT WOULD HAVE ON POP CULTURE AND HOW IT WOULD COMPLETELY CHANGE THE MUSIC BUSINESS
FOREVER.
AND SO MY FRIENDS;I THINK BRAD DELPS LEGACY IS SAFE-IN FACT I'M
SURE OF IT-AND THAT IS "MORE THAN A FEELING".P. HOLLY 3/13/2007
