IT'S WRITTEN IN THE STARS

BEYOND THE REALMS OF WHAT WE CAN SEE,HEAR,TOUCH,TASTE AND SMELL LIES AN INVISABLE WORLD.JUST WHEN WE THINK WE HAVE A HANDLE ON IT-IT DISSOLVES INTO DUST BEFORE OUR EYES AND WE REALIZE-WE DON'T SEE-WE DON'T
UNDERSTAND.THE MORE ANSWERS WE FIND TO THE TRUE NATURE OF THE UNIVERSE THE MORE QUESTONS ARISE.I BELIEVE IT IS MEANT TO BE THIS WAY.BUT
THAT DOESN'T MEAN WE SHOULDN'T GO ON OUR OWN VOYAGES OF PERSONAL
DISCOVERY.BY ALL MEANS WE CERTAINLY SHOULD.
I KNOW THIS-WHATEVER COARSE YOU CHOOSE IN LIFE-IF YOU TRULY
BELIEVE IN IT-AND TRULY LOVE IT-YOU WILL NOT COME UP EMPTY HANDED.
THERE IS A N OLD MAYAN PROVERB THAT GOES SOMETHING LIKE
THIS-"YOU ARE TO TRAVEL,GOING FROM TOWN TO TOWN,CITY YO CITY
SELLING YOUR WARES.PERHAPS YOU WILL FIND FEW IF ANY BUYERS FOR YOUR
WARES-DO NOT FEAR-THE LORD GOD WILL FIND A PLACE FOR YOU IN THE THIS UNIVESE."
I BELIEVE IN THIS PROVERB.GO ON YOUR JOURNEY.THE LORD GOD WILL FIND A PLACE FOR YOU IN THIS UNIVERSE.IT IS WRITTEN IN THE STARS.

"THE GREAT BASIN-TAKING IT IN"

P. HOLLY 8/17/2007

BOISE IS PART OF THE NORTHWEST AND IT IS ALSO A ROCKY MOUNTAIN STATE.
BUT IT'S LARGEST INFLUENCE IS THAT OF THE GREAT BASIN,THE LARGEST IN THE WORLD;FOR IT STANDS JUST AT THE EDGE OF THIS GIGANTIC MASS OF LAND WHERE
NO WATER REACH'S THE SEA AND EVEN THOUGH THE SNAKE RIVER AND BOISE
RIVER DO REACH THE SEA THE GREAT BASINS SHEAR SIZE EXTENDS MUCH OF IT'S
TOPOGRAPHY,FLORA,FAUNA AND WEATHER RIGHT INTO THE BOISE CITY LIMITS
AND UP TO THE BEGININGS OF THE THE ROCKY MOUTAINS JUST NORTH OF THE CITY.
EVERYTHING TO THE SOUTH OF THAT IS BASIN COUNTRY.ENORMOUS ROLLING HILLS AND STEPPE'S OF SAGEBRUSH,THE HOT DRY AIR-GIANT OUTCROPPINGS OF STRANGE ROCK FORMATIONS THAT SEEM CARVED BY SOME ANCIENT ARTIST AS
THEY ARE SO UNIQUE AND FULL OF BEAUTY.THE AREA'S EVETUALLY EXTEND INTO
FLATLANDS THAT SEEM TO GO ON FOR HUNDREDS OF MILES.PACKED WITH SAGEBRUSH AND EVAPORATED LAKE'S OF SALT.WHEN A NEW ROCK FORMATION
APPEARS IT TELLS THE EXPIERIENCED DRIVER EXACTLY WHERE THEY ARE.
I FIND THIS LAND TO BE STRANGELY SPIRITUAL.THE LONG STRECHE'S OF ROAD THAT SEEM TO GO ON FOREVER WITHOUT SINGLE TRACE OF MAN/WOMAN OR ANY CIVILIZATION.LIKE A MEDITATION ONE'S MANTRA BECOMES THE SINGLE
WORD:"DRIVE".AND IT IS IN THESE PLACES WHICH MANY WOULD DESRIBE AS
NOTHINGNESS THAT A CETAIN SPIRITUAL BLISS CAN BE FOUND.THE MIND TURNS OFF IT'S RANDOM THOUGHT PATTERNS AND FOCUS'S ON THE ONE:"DRIVE".
IT'S QUIET.THERE IS NOT A SOUL FOR MILES.SOMEWHERE ABOVE THE SILENT HUM OF MY JEEPS ENGINE AND THE GRACEFUL RADIENCE OF MY FOUR BRAND NEW TIRES-I'M GLIDING ALONG AND I FEEL GOOD.AT PEACE.IF ONLY JUST FOR ANOTHER
HUNDRED MILES OR SO.I'LL TAKE IT.

CAUTION:ALLWAYS HEED RULES FOR DESERT TRAVEL,WATER,FOOD,FLASHLIGHT,TOOLS,MOBILE OR 911 PHONE AND BLANKETS.

GETTING TO BRUCKNER

ONE OF CLASSICAL MUSIC'S MOST TALENTED YET LEAST KNOWN COMPOSERS WAS
ANTON BRUCKNER.HIS WORK IS OF THE HIGHEST ORDER YET BECAUSE AS A PERSON HE WAS NOT A GREAT SELF-PROMOTER AND HIS STRICT ADHERANCE TO
TO HIS RELIGIOUS BELIEFS;HE HAD A FAIRLY LOW PROFILE IN HIS LIFETIME.STILL
BRAHMS KNEW OF HIS WORK AND INFLUENCES OF WAGNER CAN BE HEARD IN MANY OF HIS SYMPHONIES.HE DID HAVE IS OWN UNIQUE STYLE THOUGH,ONE WHICH I FIND TO BE HIGHLY ENJOYABLE AND WONDERFUL TO LISTEN TO.
ANYWAY,IF YOU GET TO BRUCKNER-IT'S A GOOD SIGN THAT YOU'VE PROBABLY
HEARD ALL THE MORE WELL KNOWN COMPOSERS{BEETOVEEN,CHOPIN,MOZART,
LISZT,ETC.}SO IN THAT RESPECT,IT'S A SIGNPOST OF SORTS THAT YOU AQQUIRED
A CERTAIN AMOUNT OF KNOWLEDGE OF CLASSICAL MUSIC AND IT'S GREAT COMPOSERS. P. HOLLY 8/5/07
