JIMI HENDRIX-LIVE AT WOODSTOCK-2 DVD BOX SET

IN THE ORIGINAL "WOODSTOCK" MOVIE JIMI'S PERFORMANCE IS EDITED DOWN TO JUST THREE SONGS.THESE TWO DVD'S SHOW THE ENTIRE 15 SONG SET.
THE SECOND CD USE'S A RARE BLACK AND WHITE VIDEO TAPING THAT NO-ONE
EVEN KNEW EXISTED UNTIL JUST PRIOR TO THIS BOX SET BEING RELEASED IN 2005.
IT IS MIXED WITH SOME OF THE ALTERNATIVE COLOR FILM AND MAKE'S FOR A VERY INTERESTING "SECOND LOOK" AT JIMI'S PERFORMANCE.WITH THIS 2ND DVD
YOU GET THE PREVIOUSLY MISSING SONG,"HEAR MY TRAIN A COMIN" WHICH THE
COLOR CREW MISSED BECAUSE THEY WERE RELOADING THIER CAMERAS.OBVIOUSLY,THE SOUND WAS RECORDED SEPARATLYAND HERE IT HAS BEEN REMIXED BY JIMI'S ORIGINAL SOUND ENGINEER;EDDIE KRAMER AND IT'S A GREAT MIX.
WOODSTOCK WAS BILLED AS THREE DAY'S OF PEACE ,LOVE AND MUSIC,HOWEVER JIMI AND HIS BAND OF GYPSIES DIDN'T GO ON UNTIL 9:00 A.M. OF THE FORTH DAY!THEY WERE THE LAST ACT TO PLAY.THOUGH SOME OF THE CROWD HAD LEFT THERE WAS STILL QUITE A SIZABLE AUDIENCE THAT STAYED
JUST TO SEE JIMI.THERE IS A VERY PEACEFUL AND INTIMATE VIBE FELT BUT WHEN
JIMI LET'S LOOSE-WATCH OUT!HENDRIX IS IN TOP FORM HERE,HE IS RELAXED AND
LUCID BUT THE BULK OF HIS PLAYING IS SIMPLY BEYOND BELIEF.YOU'LL NEVER SEE
OR HEAR ANOTHER FILM LIKE THIS ONE.IF YOU NEED PROOF THAT HENDRIX WAS
THE GREATIST.HERE IT IS.-P. HOLLY-2/21/2007

CONDUCTORS OF THE WORLD TAKE NOTE !

BEFORE THE INVENTION OF THE TUNING FORK AROUND 1850 ALL INSTRUMENTS WERE TUNED A HALF STEP LOWER.THAT MEANS OUR A{NOTE} WOULD HAVE BEEN A-SHARP TO BEETHOVEN.SO NOW WHEN ANY ORCHESTRA
PLAYS BEETHOVEN OR ANY COMPOSERS MUSIC THAT WAS WRITTEN BEFORE 1850
THEY ARE NOT PLAYING IT AS THE COMPOSER ORIGINALLY MEANT IT TO BE HEARD.

POLKA CRAZE REFUSES TO DIE

OF ALL THE CATAGORYS IN THE GRAMMY'S THE MOST UNUSUAL IS PROBABLY "THE
BEST POLKA ALBUM".IT'S THE ONLY CATAGORY NAMED FOR A DANCE.THE REASON IT HAS A CATAGORY IS BECAUSE IT DOES REQUIRE A CERTAIN TYPE OF MUSIC IN ORDER TO PERFORM THE DANCE AND OF ALL THE DANCE CRAZE'S THAT CAME AND WENT IN THE 19TH CENTURY{AND THERE WERE MANY};THE POLKA IS THE ONLY ONE THAT HAS SURVIVED.{ORIGIN-BOHIEMIA-CHECH-1840-INVENTED BY A
